Autothrust Mode Annunciations
Flight Mode Annunciator Columns (Interactive)
Autothrust Description
This will display the autothrust modes that are armed or active, as well as a request for the pilot to do something.
MAN TOGA
Displayed with white text surrounded by a white box. This is displayed when Autothrust is armed and at least one thrust lever is in the TO/GA detent.
MAN FLX XX
Displayed with white text surrounded by a white box. The numbers are blue. Displayed when Autothrust is armed and at least one thrust lever is in the MCT/FLX detent and the other is at or below this detent. The FLX TO temp will be displayed as XX in blue.
MAN MCT
Displayed with white text surrounded by a white box. Displayed when at least one thrust lever is in the MCT/FLX detent and the other is at or below this detent. MCT is maximum continuous thrust and is the maximum thrust the engine can be set to for an extended period of time.
MAN THR
Displayed with white text in an amber box. Displayed when Autothrust is armed, and the most forward thrust lever is above the climb detent (2 engines operative or one above FLX/MCT with one engine out) and not in a detent.
THR MCT
Displayed with green text. Displayed when Autothrust is active in thrust mode, and the most forward lever is in the MCT/FLX detent (engine out)
THR CLB
Displayed with green text. Displayed when the Autothrust is active in thrust mode, and the most forward thrust lever is in the climb detent.
THR IDLE
Displayed with green text. Displayed when Autothrust is active in thrust mode and commands idle thrust.
THR LVR
Displayed with green text. Displayed when autothrust is active in thrust mode with both thrust levers below the climb detent or below MCT/FLX (one engine).
SPEED or MACH
Displayed with green text. Displayed when Autothrust is active in SPEED or MACH mode.
A. FLOOR
Displayed with green text in an amber box. Displayed when Autothrust is active and commands TO/GA thrust, while A. Floor conditions are met.
TOGA LK
Displayed with green text in an amber box. Displayed when Autothrust is active and TO/GA thrust is locked while A. Floor conditions are no longer met.
LVR CLB (Flashing)
Displayed with white text. Displayed when the pilots are being requested to set the thrust levers in the climb detent.
LVR MCT (Flashing)
Displayed in white text. Displayed when the pilots are being requested to set the live thrust lever to the MCT/FLX detent.
LVR ASYM
Displayed in amber text. Displayed when one thrust lever is in the climb or MCT/FLX detent and the other one is not. (2 engines only).
THR LK (Flashing)
Displayed in amber text. Displayed after autothrust disconnection (either pilot action on FCU or failure) resulting in thrust being frozen. Both thrust levers being in climb detent or one in MCT/FLX with one engine out.
Note for 3rd line
The caution light flashes and a single chime will sound every five seconds, if the pilot takes no action in the following circumstances:
- THR LK.
- LVR CLB (If the thrust levers are below the climb detent).
- LVR MCT (If the thrust levers are below the FLX/MCT detent).

Autobrake Description
This column is also used for Autobrake status information as a second priority to Autothrust. These messages would only be displayed if no Autothrust message is displayed in the same line.
First Line
The first line shows BRK LO
, BRK MED
or BRK MAX
in green with a white box when the corresponding autobrake mode is active.
Second Line
The second line shows BRK LO
, BRK MED
in cyan when the corresponding autobrake mode is armed.
Third Line
The third line shows BRK MAX
in cyan when the autobrake max mode is armed.
